Astana just opened a new chapter for financial integration among Turkic states — President Tokayev chaired the first-ever meeting of Central Bank governors from member countries.
Under the chairmanship of Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the first meeting of the Central (National) Bank Governors Council of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held in Astana. Discussions included monetary policy, digital currencies, and the rise of cashless transactions. Kazakhstan, a pioneer in the region, has already introduced its digital tenge.
