President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has signed a law ratifying the 2025 Financing Framework Agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), paving the way for nearly $222 million in funding for national development projects.
President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has ratified the Law "On the Ratification of the Framework Agreement on the 2025 Financing Plan between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank," originally signed on November 4, 2024, in Bishkek.
The agreement, approved by the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) on April 16, 2025, outlines ADB’s support for investment projects and development programs in Kyrgyzstan throughout 2025.
Under the framework, ADB will provide a total of $222 million in funding, comprising:
– $74.8 million in grants from ADB’s Special Funds resources;
– $147.2 million in concessional loans from ADB’s ordinary capital resources.
The funding aims to bolster infrastructure, economic development, and social programs, further strengthening ADB's role as a key partner in Kyrgyzstan’s sustainable growth strategy.
