Kyrgyzstan and Russia strengthen economic cooperation amid rising trade

During a high-level meeting, officials from Kyrgyzstan and Russia emphasized the growing economic partnership between the two nations, highlighting a 14.5% increase in mutual trade and reaffirming their commitment to further expansion.

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk to discuss the positive trends in trade and economic relations.

In 2024, trade between Kyrgyzstan and Russia reached $3.5 billion, reflecting steady growth. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to increasing trade volumes and strengthening economic ties.

The meeting, held in an expanded format with key ministry representatives, covered various areas of cooperation, including economic, social, investment, industrial, and cultural sectors. Special focus was given to strategic joint projects that align with the goals set by the leaders of both countries.
