UK government has confirmed that disposable vapes will be banned from sale starting June 2025
The UK government has confirmed that disposable vapes will be banned from sale in England starting June 2025. The move, aimed at reducing environmental harm and curbing their use among children, will make the sale of single-use vapes illegal.
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) announced the decision on Wednesday, stating that the legislation has been introduced in parliament. Defra also confirmed it has collaborated with devolved governments to ensure the ban will come into effect across the UK on the same date.
Businesses will have until 1 June 2025 to sell any remaining stock and prepare for the ban.
