NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has praised Kazakhstan’s AI ambitions, highlighting its potential to become a global hub for Physical AI, launch startups and transform industries.
Huang made the remarks during his first visit to the alem.ai International AI Center in Astana on 23 October, according to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development.
During the visit, he was briefed on the country’s plans to establish itself as a global centre for Physical AI, which combines artificial intelligence with robotics and real-world systems.
Kazakhstan’s strategy rests on three pillars: a supportive institutional environment, modern technological infrastructure and investment in human capital.
“The most valuable asset any country has is the culture and intelligence of its people. Kazakhstani developers, entrepreneurs, and students currently have a rare opportunity to create their own Kazakhstani AI. With such ambitions and a strong scientific and engineering foundation, Kazakhstan can launch new startups, transform entire industries, and open new horizons for the younger generation,” Huang said.
Huang toured the Museum of Singularity, which traces the evolution of artificial intelligence from its early concepts to modern neural networks and generative AI.
He also signed a 1998 NVIDIA RIVA TNT graphics card, which is set to become part of the museum’s collection, before visiting AI Cinema, a venue showcasing AI-generated content.
Huang was also introduced to the Self-Service Centre, where users can access public, business and other services.
The centre features alem.gpt, an AI-powered assistant that allows users to interact through natural language. It operates using AI models supported by Alem.Cloud GPU clusters equipped with NVIDIA H200 processors.

Jaslan Madiev, Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development, said artificial intelligence is reshaping the technological landscape and shifting the balance of the global economy.
“Kazakhstan intends to take its place among the nations shaping the future of this industry. Our advantage lies in combining energy potential, advanced industry, and a growing pool of talented engineers and developers,” he said.
Madiev said partnerships with technology companies such as NVIDIA could help position Kazakhstan as a global centre for Physical AI, with intelligent systems and robotics developed, tested and deployed in real industrial environments.
Magzhan Madiev, CEO of Astana Hub, unveiled details of Startup City, a digital platform designed to help startups expand internationally through peer-to-peer collaboration and gamification.
The visit also opened discussions on expanding cooperation between Kazakhstan and NVIDIA in AI infrastructure, technological development and Physical AI, as the country seeks to strengthen its position in the global artificial intelligence industry.
