U.S. President Donald Trump announced Tuesday that Israel has accepted the key terms of a proposed 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, as part of renewed efforts to end the war.
In a post on his Truth Social platform, the U.S. president said his representatives held a “long and productive meeting” with Israeli officials and that the final proposal will now be delivered by Qatari and Egyptian mediators.
“Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalise the 60-day ceasefire, during which time we will work with all parties to end the war,” Trump wrote.
He urged Hamas to accept the terms, warning: “It will not get better — it will only get worse.”
Trump thanked Qatar and Egypt for their role in the talks and said the United States remains focused on securing a long-term solution to the conflict.
