One Australian man has died and another is in intensive care after a late-night shooting at a villa on Indonesia’s tourist island of Bali.
An Australian man was fatally shot and another critically injured in a shooting incident that occurred just after midnight on Saturday on the Indonesian island of Bali, according to local police.
The shooting took place in a villa located in Badung regency, on the southern part of the island. Police spokesperson Ariasandy told local media outlet Detik.com that officers are searching for two suspects believed to have been involved in the attack.
The deceased has been identified by his first name as Zivan R, 32, while the injured man, named Sanar G, 35, is currently in intensive care at a local hospital, Detik reported.
According to Ariasandy, witnesses saw two individuals fleeing the scene on motorcycles. The suspects were reportedly heard speaking English with an Australian accent.
Investigations are ongoing as authorities continue to gather evidence and track down the perpetrators.
