The ICRC says two of its workers were killed in Khan Younis following an Israeli airstrike.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has confirmed that two of its staff members were killed in an Israeli strike on a house in Gaza’s Khan Younis.

In a statement, the ICRC condemned the rising civilian death toll in Gaza and reiterated its urgent call for a ceasefire, as well as the protection of civilians — including medical workers, humanitarian personnel, and civil defense teams.

The Israel Defense Forces have not yet commented on the incident.

In a separate statement, Gaza’s media office said Israeli forces now control 77% of the Gaza Strip, either through ground operations or through evacuation orders and bombardments that prevent residents from returning to their homes.
