The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has confirmed that two of its staff members were killed in an Israeli strike on a house in Gaza’s Khan Younis.
In a statement, the ICRC condemned the rising civilian death toll in Gaza and reiterated its urgent call for a ceasefire, as well as the protection of civilians — including medical workers, humanitarian personnel, and civil defense teams.
The Israel Defense Forces have not yet commented on the incident.
In a separate statement, Gaza’s media office said Israeli forces now control 77% of the Gaza Strip, either through ground operations or through evacuation orders and bombardments that prevent residents from returning to their homes.
