Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will visit Russia on May 26–27 for high-level talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, aiming to strengthen bilateral ties and discuss regional conflicts.
The trip includes meetings with President Vladimir Putin, Lavrov, and other key Russian officials such as presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky and Defense Minister Andrey Belousov.
Fidan is set to discuss a range of topics, including trade, energy cooperation, tourism, and strategic regional issues. A key focus will be Türkiye’s role in mediating the Russia-Ukraine conflict, reaffirming Ankara’s commitment to peace and its willingness to continue facilitating dialogue between the parties.
He will also address broader geopolitical issues, including the situations in Syria, Gaza, and the South Caucasus.
