In a message posted on X, the army's Arabic spokesperson warned of an “unprecedented attack” aimed at destroying what he described as terrorist infrastructure. He urged civilians to move west toward the Mawasi area, declaring Khan Younis a “dangerous combat zone.”
Khan Younis is the largest city in southern Gaza and has become a key location during the conflict. The city is believed to be a Hamas stronghold, with tunnels and command centers reportedly operating underground.
