Russian President Vladimir Putin has received an invitation to visit Iran, though the exact dates are yet to be finalized, according to Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has been invited to visit Iran, but the timing for the trip remains undecided, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov announced on Wednesday. The invitation follows the 20-year strategic partnership agreement signed between Moscow and Tehran in January, emphasizing collaboration in defense and energy sectors.

Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani earlier stated that discussions about Putin's visit are underway. Peskov highlighted the importance of Russia's partnership with Iran, describing it as a relationship spanning various domains. Putin's last visit to Iran occurred in 2022, months after the onset of Russia's military actions in Ukraine.
