King Charles III and Queen Camilla will welcome French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron for a state visit to the United Kingdom from July 8 to 10, Buckingham Palace announced.
Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles III and Queen Camilla will host French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte at Windsor Castle during an official state visit from July 8 to 10. The visit comes after Macron formally accepted the King’s invitation.
The event will mark another key diplomatic engagement for the monarch, who continues to carry out royal duties while receiving treatment for cancer, a diagnosis that was disclosed early last year.
In addition to Macron’s upcoming visit, King Charles is also expected to host U.S. President Donald Trump for a separate state visit. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer extended the invitation earlier this year, though the date for that trip has yet to be finalized.
These high-profile meetings underline the monarch’s continued role in fostering diplomatic ties despite ongoing health challenges.
