Victory Day parade underway in Moscow on WWII anniversary

Moscow is currently holding a Victory Day parade to mark 80 years since the end of the Great Patriotic War, with foreign delegations and military units participating.

The Victory Day parade is underway in Moscow, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War. The two-hour event features military personnel from various countries and columns of vehicles moving through the city centre.

Troops from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Vietnam, Egypt, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Mongolia, Myanmar, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan are taking part, alongside Russian servicemen, including those involved in current operations.

The parade route includes key roads such as Zvenigorodskoye Highway, Triumfalnaya Square, and Tverskaya Street, heading toward Red Square. After the ceremony, the vehicles are scheduled to return via Vasilevsky Descent and Kremlin Embankment.

Leaders from 29 countries and delegates from over ten allied nations are in attendance.
