U.S. President Donald Trump was seeking a bilateral minerals deal as part of his push to end Ukraine's war against the Russian invasion. Trump also saw it as a way to recover billions of dollars the U.S. has spent on military assistance to Ukraine.
And, now, Ukraine is ready to sign a resources deal with the United States and could do so later on Wednesday, a Ukrainian government source told Reuters.
"I think maybe late evening Kyiv time the deal there can be signed", the source said.
