The Sukhoi Superject 100 Aircraft, caught on fire in Turkiye on Sunday evening, with 95 people on board, no injuries or deaths were reported.
The Russian Sukhoi Superjet Aircraft with 95 people on board caught into flames while arriving at Turkiye's Antalya International Airport, around 21:34 pm local time.
The Azimuth Airlines flight A45051, which flew from Sochi to Antalya, carried 89 passengers, including 6 crew members.
Bright flames flashed on the aircraft's left side, as passengers hurriedly evacuated on an emergency slide. Firefighters put out the huge smoke coming out of the plane's engines, and the fire was immediately extinguished with no one hurt.
Before arrival, the pilot made an emergency call as the plane was landing, according to The Turkish Transport Ministry. It was announced arrivals were temporarily suspended, after removing the damaged plane from the runway.
Antalya deputy governor Suat Seyitoglu said: 'All passengers were evacuated without injury, and thankfully no one was harmed.'
Azimuth Airlines stated the rough landing was caused by the increased wind pressure. In the meanwhile, Russian aviation authority Rosaviatsiya is still investigating what caused the fire to start.
