Ukrainian President Zelenskiyy has called on Russia to pause attacks on civilian targets for a month, warning that rejection would show intent to keep fueling the war.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiyy has proposed a 30-day halt on Russian drone and missile strikes targeting civilian infrastructure.

He said that Russia’s refusal to agree would prove its intent to continue actions that destroy lives and prolong the war.

The proposal comes amid mutual accusations between Russia and Ukraine over violations of a one-day Easter ceasefire declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Both sides reported hundreds of attacks, and the Kremlin confirmed no order had been given to extend the truce.
