A woman rescued from the rubble of a collapsed nightclub in the Dominican Republic has died, bringing the death toll to 226.
The death toll from the nightclub roof collapse in the Dominican Republic has risen to 226 after a woman who had been hospitalized died from her injuries.
According to the National Health Service, the latest victim was a 41-year-old Costa Rican national. Earlier, health officials confirmed that four other hospitalized survivors had died overnight.
A total of 189 people were rescued alive from the rubble of the popular Jet Set nightclub in Santo Domingo. More than 200 others were injured, with 14 still hospitalized, including four in critical condition.
The nightclub roof collapsed during a merengue concert in the early hours of Tuesday.
