Police are hunting a suspect who fled after three people were found dead in a home in western Germany’s Westerwald region.

Authorities say the suspect fled when officers arrived at the scene and remains at large.
The victims were a 47-year-old man, a 44-year-old woman, and a 16-year-old boy, whose bodies were found in a house in the town of Weitefeld.
Authorities believe the background of the case is family-related and added that both the victims and the suspected perpetrator were long-time residents of Weitefeld.
According to a police spokesperson, the manhunt has so far been unsuccessful, and residents in the area have been advised to stay indoors and warned not to pick up hitchhikers.
