Türkiye is committed to advancing the Southern Gas Corridor and supporting regional cooperation on green energy, Energy Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said.
Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar stated that Türkiye is prepared to fully harness the potential of the Southern Gas Corridor, speaking at the 11th Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and the 3rd Green Energy Advisory Council ministerial meetings.
He highlighted the collaboration between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Türkiye, and Bulgaria on the corridor project and expressed confidence in the Green Energy Corridor’s growing international significance. Türkiye, he emphasized, will maintain strong support for the region and its cooperative energy efforts.
Bayraktar also underlined Türkiye’s ongoing commitment to regional partnerships, noting that key infrastructure such as the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and TANAP have demonstrated the strategic importance of energy security across the region. He added that Türkiye is open to deepening cooperation with Azerbaijan and other partners, particularly in the area of green energy transmission.
