In response to Japan's sanctions policy, Russia has announced that it is banning nine Japanese nationals, including Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya, from entering its territory.
"As part of our response to Tokyo's ongoing so-called sanctions policy against our country in connection with the special military operation, a decision has been made to impose an indefinite ban on certain individuals from entering the Russian Federation,"- the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
The list also includes Japanese Ambassador to Ukraine Masashi Nakagome and former Ambassador Kuninori Matsuda, Senior Vice President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Shohei Hara and the head of JICA’s office in Ukraine Hideki Matsunaga, as well as top executives of IHI Corporation, Isuzu Motors Limited, Prodrone and Cyberdyne.
