Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated on Monday that Türkiye is ready to play a role in facilitating peace between Russia and Ukraine.
Speaking at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Fidan emphasized that Ankara is closely monitoring security guarantees.
He also highlighted Türkiye’s strong interest in the new U.S. initiative aimed at resolving the Russia-Ukraine conflict, describing it as a results-driven approach.
Additionally, Fidan noted that Türkiye and Russia hold similar views on the necessity of ending separatist movements in Syria.
