Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, speaking at the Munich Security Conference, stressed that the war in Ukraine cannot be decided by a few leaders behind closed doors.
He warned against backdoor negotiations and emphasized the need for a united approach with the U.S. and Europe to ensure a just and lasting peace.
Zelenskiy also accused Russian President Vladimir Putin of seeking one-on-one talks with the U.S. to manipulate negotiations, referencing past meetings where world powers appeared to divide global influence. He cautioned that if the war ends in Russia’s favor, it could result in a dangerous surplus of battle-hardened soldiers, escalating future security threats.
Ukraine remains firm in its stance that any resolution must involve international cooperation, applying collective pressure on Russia rather than individual diplomatic maneuvers.
