U.S. and Russian officials are set to meet in Munich on Friday, with Ukraine also invited, according to President Donald Trump. The White House has not provided additional details.
Speaking to reporters , Donald Trump said high-level representatives from the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine were expected to attend, though he did not confirm specific participants.
"They’re having a meeting in Munich tomorrow. Russia’s going to be there with our people. Ukraine is also invited," Trump stated.
A Ukrainian source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Kyiv had no prior knowledge of the meeting beyond media reports.
The Russian embassy in Washington and Russia’s UN mission have not yet commented on the proposed talks.
