The Ukraine Defence Contact Group is set to convene in Brussels on Wednesday (February 12).
The meeting will be chaired by British Defence Secretary John Healey. The group, consisting of around 50 nations, was formed following Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022. Often referred to as the Ramstein Group—after the U.S. air base in Germany where it first met—it was previously led by the United States.
Newly appointed U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who will also attend the meeting, stated on Tuesday (February 11) that he would urge European allies to increase their defence spending.
