In Ukraine, a Russian missile attack on Kyiv early Wednesday morning resulted in at least one civilian death and three injuries.
That's according to Ukrainian officials who say a 9-year-old child is one of those wounded. A series of powerful explosions shook the capital and sparked multiple fires across the city.
Ukraine's air force reported that air defenses intercepted six of seven ballistic missiles, while 71 of 123 drones were downed.
The strike comes after U.S. President Donald Trump says he'd been in contact with Kyiv and Russian President Vladimir Putin with calls for renewed peace negotiations.
