Flooding in Northern Bolivia displaces dozens, triggers emergency response.
Heavy rains triggered severe flooding in northern Bolivia on Tuesday, forcing dozens of families from their homes and causing significant damage to infrastructure.
At least 100 families in Cobija were affected after a nearby stream overflowed, submerging homes and streets. Authorities have evacuated at least 30 families to temporary shelters, while others remain in need of assistance.
Deputy Minister of Civil Defense Juan Carlos Calvimontes said rescue teams are actively working to provide aid and relocate affected residents.
With more rainfall expected in the coming days, officials warn that flooding could worsen, raising concerns about further displacement and damage.
