Jürgen Klopp has been named the new head coach of Germany's national football team by the German Football Association (DFB).
The former Liverpool manager has signed a contract to coach the team until the summer of 2030.
Speaking in Frankfurt, Germany, Klopp said he felt the "great responsibility," of the position.
"It was once unimaginable that it would ever come to this," he said, adding that the German national team had a "very skilled staff."
DFB President Bernd Neuendorf said Klopp was the "ideal choice" for the role
Klopp emerged as front runner for the Head Coach job after Julian Nagelsmann stepped down following Germany's loss to Paraguay during penalties in the World Cup.
Klopp, 59, built his coaching reputation as manager of German club Borussia Dortmund, who he led to the Budensliga title and the Champions League final.
He then spent almost a decade as Liverpool manager, during which time the English club won the UK Premier League title during the 2019-2020 season.
After leaving Liverpool in 2024, Klopp took a break from coaching. Media reports briefly linked him to the Real Madrid Head Coach role earlier this year.
