The factory, located around 830 km from Mumbai, manufactures explosives and propellants. Federal Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari confirmed the fatalities, while state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reported that a roof collapse had trapped 13-14 workers inside, with five people rescued so far.
Rescue teams and medical personnel are on-site, but the cause of the blast is still under investigation.
