Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met in Abu Dhabi on November 20 to strengthen bilateral relations, the Canadian government said on Saturday.

The leaders discussed regional developments and reaffirmed their shared commitment to achieving a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East, based on the two-state solution. They reiterated support for the creation of a sovereign, independent and viable Palestinian state living side by side with Israel in peace and security.

Both sides welcomed the leadership of U.S. President Donald Trump and his Comprehensive Peace Plan to end the war in Gaza. They also expressed support for the recent adoption of UN Security Council Resolution 2803, describing it as a key step towards implementing the peace framework.
