The D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation Media Forum, themed “Promoting Dialogue, Cooperation and Regional Solidarity,” has commenced in Baku.
The event brings together heads of media institutions, prominent media organisations from D-8 member states, senior representatives, and renowned experts in the field.
Hikmat Hajiyev, Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, opened the Forum by reading a message from President Ilham Aliyev to the participants.
The Forum includes two panel sessions: “Responsible Journalism and Digital Innovation” and “Strategic Communication and Crisis Management,” along with a workshop titled “Media Ethics in a Digitalising World: Technologies, Trends and Narratives.”
Nearly 150 delegates are participating, including 71 foreign representatives from the eight member countries and the D-8 Secretariat.
