British Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated on Wednesday that any attack on members of his cabinet was "completely unacceptable," distancing himself from newspaper reports suggesting that some of his allies believed certain ministers were plotting to remove him.

"Let me be absolutely clear, any attack on any member of my cabinet is completely unacceptable," Starmer said in parliament, responding to media reports citing unnamed allies of the prime minister who expressed concerns about a possible attempt to oust him after the upcoming budget.

Health Minister Wes Streeting, mentioned as one of the potential challengers to Starmer, dismissed these claims and expressed confidence that Starmer would lead the Labour Party into the 2029 general election.

Starmer further stated that he appointed his cabinet members "because they're the best people to carry out their jobs," including Streeting.
