Russia strikes Ukraine, Ukraine hits Russian plant

On Wednesday, Russia reported that its military had carried out large-scale strikes on Ukraine’s energy facilities, while Ukraine said its forces had targeted a Russian chemical plant.

The Russian Defence Ministry said the strikes were in response to what Moscow described as Ukrainian “terrorist attacks” on civilian targets inside Russia. The operation reportedly involved long-range, high-precision weapons, combat drones, and Kinzhal air-launched hypersonic missiles.

Earlier, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said it had hit a Russian chemical plant using British-made Storm Shadow missiles.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia had once again conducted massive overnight air strikes across several regions. The country’s energy ministry added that emergency power outages were implemented in most areas and repair efforts were underway following the extensive drone and missile attacks.
