The plane, an Embraer passenger jet, had diverted from an area in Russia recently defended against Ukrainian drone attacks before it went down near Aktau. Xi expressed his sorrow over the loss of life, sending his condolences to the victims’ families and wishing a speedy recovery to those injured in the tragic incident.
According to China’s state broadcaster CCTV, Xi’s message of sympathy was sent to the presidents of Azerbaijan, Russia, and Kazakhstan. This marks another instance of international solidarity in the wake of the disaster, with world leaders offering support to the affected nations.
