At least 10 people have been killed in the Philippines after Tropical Storm Bualoi brought heavy rains and strong winds to parts of the country, officials confirmed Friday.

The Office of Civil Defense reported that seven additional deaths raised the toll to 10, while more than 10 people remain missing, according to the Inquirer.

Authorities said the storm particularly affected central Philippines and southern Luzon, with Bulacan province facing further risks from flooding.

To reduce the impact, around 120,888 families – nearly 433,000 people – were evacuated, according to figures from the state-run Philippine News Agency.

Bualoi comes shortly after Super Typhoon Ragasa struck the region, leaving over 20 people dead in Taiwan and the Philippines.
