Israel will indefinitely close the only crossing between the Israeli-occupied West Bank and Jordan starting Wednesday (24 September), just days after it was reopened following a shooting that killed two Israeli soldiers.
A spokesperson for the authority managing the Allenby crossing said the closure would take effect Wednesday morning "at the direction of the political leadership," without providing further details.
