Former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro was taken to the hospital on Tuesday after feeling unwell, according to CNN Brasil. The 70-year-old has a history of health problems linked to a 2018 stabbing attack.

He admitted Jair Bolsonaro is suffering from severe hiccups, vomiting, and low blood pressure, and is under medical observation.
The right-wing former leader governed Brazil from 2019 to 2022 and has remained a polarising figure since leaving office. Earlier this month, he was sentenced to 27 years in prison by Brazil’s Supreme Court for plotting to overturn the 2022 election, though he remains under house arrest.
Bolsonaro has faced repeated hospitalisations since surviving a near-fatal stabbing during his 2018 campaign. In April this year, he underwent a 12-hour operation to repair abdominal damage, and more recently, doctors treated him for pneumonia and anaemia.
