President Donald Trump is set to finalize a major trade and investment deal with the UK during his state visit this week, U.S. officials said Monday. The agreement is expected to bring more than $10 billion in new investments.

The deal will cover partnerships in science and technology, civil nuclear power, research, development, and defense cooperation. Officials noted the total value could increase as final figures are calculated.

Trump will meet King Charles and Queen Camilla on Wednesday and visit St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle to lay a wreath at Queen Elizabeth’s tomb ahead of an official state banquet. On Thursday, he will meet Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Chequers, the UK leader’s country residence.

Ahead of the visit, the UK and U.S. announced a separate agreement to build advanced nuclear modular reactors in northeastern England. The deal, between UK firm Centrica and U.S. company X-energy, aims to expand Britain’s nuclear energy capacity.
