Azerbaijan set to fund cultural and sports facilities in Kyiv region

Azerbaijan is preparing to finance a cultural centre, sports school and arts facility in the town of Irpin, near Kyiv, under a draft bilateral agreement.

The move follows Cabinet Order No. 973, dated 10 September, which outlines the scope of the proposed agreement. Deputy Minister of Community and Territorial Development Marina Denisyuk will lead Ukraine’s negotiating team.

The planned developments form part of broader reconstruction efforts in Irpin, a town heavily damaged during the early stages of Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022.
