Strong earthquake strikes Greece’s Evia island, felt in Athens

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck central Greece on Tuesday morning, with the epicentre located on Evia island about 50 km (31 miles) northeast of Athensat at a depth of 10 km, with no reports of any damage or fatalities, according to the Athens Geodynamic Institute.

A fire brigade official told Reuters that there were no calls for assistance so far.

"Our forces are out checking on potential damage," the official added
