Qatar, the United States, Togo, and the African Union Commission took part in the second joint oversight committee meeting for the peace agreement between the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Rwanda, as stated in a joint announcement from the U.S. State Department on Wednesday.
The statement noted that committee members recognized the delays in implementing certain aspects of the Agreement.
The DRC and Rwanda agreed to establish a technical, intelligence, and military channel for direct information exchange ahead of the next Joint Steering Committee Meeting (JSCM) in Doha.
Togo represented the African Union at the meeting.
