U.S. approves potential $8.5 billion arms sale to Denmark

he U.S. State Department has approved the potential sale of Integrated Battle Command System Enabled PATRIOT missiles and related equipment to Denmark, valued at $8.5 billion, the Pentagon said on Friday.

The deal would involve major contractors RTX, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman. The sale is subject to congressional review before it can be finalised.

Officials said the package aims to enhance Denmark’s air and missile defence capabilities amid growing security concerns in Europe.
