Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Saturday reaffirmed that Ukraine would not cede any of its territory, stressing that “Ukrainians will not give their land to occupiers”.
Speaking after the announcement of a planned meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on 15 August, Zelenskyy said Kyiv was prepared to engage in genuine efforts that could bring peace. However, he warned that any agreements reached without Ukraine’s participation would undermine, rather than advance, peace.
