The U.S. State Department has approved possible weapons sales to Ukraine valued at $330 million, aimed at boosting the country’s ability to meet current and future threats, the Pentagon said Thursday.
The package includes maintenance and overhaul support for M109 self-propelled howitzers worth $150 million, and $180 million for air defence sustainment, according to the Defense Security Cooperation Agency.
These potential sales are intended to enhance Ukraine’s capacity for self-defence and regional security operations.
Earlier, the agency approved two other possible military assistance packages totaling $322 million, covering HAWK Phase III air defence systems and Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, including their repair and maintenance.
