Trump unveils $92 billion in energy and tech investments in Pennsylvania

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced $92 billion in new investments in energy and technology projects in Pennsylvania during the Pennsylvania Energy and Innovation Summit at Carnegie Mellon University on Tuesday.

He said the 20 companies represented at the summit would invest jointly in data centres, energy infrastructure, and artificial intelligence development across the state.

Blackstone committed $25 billion for data centres and energy facilities in northeastern Pennsylvania. Google pledged another $25 billion for Artificial Intelligence and digital infrastructure. Brookfield Energy announced a $3 billion plan to rebuild two hydroelectric plants that will supply power to Google’s operations.

Trump said the investments would boost local economies and help ensure the U.S. remains ahead of China in artificial intelligence.

He described the announcement as a major win for Pennsylvania and the broader US economy.
