The death toll from a missile strike that hit a clinic in the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia on Tuesday has risen to seven, according to regional authorities and emergency services.
Governor Ivan Fedorov confirmed that 22 additional people were injured in the attack.
Fedorov provided updates via his Telegram channel, stating that all emergency services were working at the site of the destruction.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that rescuers managed to pull two women from beneath the rubble overnight. Videos shared by the agency showed emergency workers and machinery digging through the debris of the collapsed building during nighttime operations.
Both sides of the conflict deny intentionally targeting civilians, maintaining that the strikes are aimed at infrastructure critical to their respective military efforts.
