Eight nations to compete in 3rd CIS Games in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan has confirmed participation from eight countries and over 4,500 delegates for the 3rd CIS Games, set to take place from 28 September to 8 October across seven cities.

A total of 1,846 athletes and 2,666 officials from eight countries will take part in the 3rd CIS Games, according to the Baku City Circuit.

Host nation Azerbaijan will be represented by 349 athletes, followed by Russia (263), Kazakhstan (259), Uzbekistan (257), Belarus (255), Tajikistan (202), Turkmenistan (170), and Kyrgyzstan (85).

The multi-sport event will be held across 12 venues in Ganja, Yevlakh, Mingachevir, Gabala, Shaki, Goygol, and Khankendi.

Delegations from CIS and guest countries are expected to attend, highlighting Azerbaijan’s expanding role as a regional sporting hub.
