At least two people were killed and eight others wounded in a Russian airstrike on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kostiantynivka on Wednesday, according to regional officials.
Russia’s Defence Ministry announced on Saturday that its troops had captured two more settlements along the 1,000-km front line in Donetsk region, following the Friday announcement of three other villages taken in its gradual advance.
Fierce fighting continues as Russia claims control of a village in Donetsk, while Ukraine reports repelling multiple Russian attacks. Both sides engage in intense battles, with Ukrainian forces countering offensives and intercepting drones.
