Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on May 25, reaffirming Baku’s continued humanitarian support and both nations’ mutual commitment to sovereignty and territorial integrity.
On May 25, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Minister Sybiha conveyed warm greetings from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s humanitarian assistance, particularly the reconstruction projects carried out in the city of Irpin. He reiterated Ukraine’s gratitude for Azerbaijan’s consistent support for its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
President Aliyev thanked Minister Sybiha for the greetings and asked him to extend his best wishes to President Zelenskyy. He reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s commitment to continuing humanitarian support for Ukraine.
Both sides emphasized their mutual respect for each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, underscoring the longstanding solidarity between the two nations.
The meeting also included discussions on future cooperation, with an exchange of views on strengthening ties in energy, renewable energy, transport, trade, and agriculture.
