Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a phone call with Asaad Hassan al-Shibani, Foreign Minister of the Syrian transitional government, to discuss bilateral relations and regional security.
During the conversation, both sides highlighted the potential for expanded cooperation between Azerbaijan and Syria in the post-Assad era. Minister Bayramov thanked the Syrian side for supporting the reopening of Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Syria after years of closure.
