President Ilham Aliyev, in his speech at the opening ceremony of the XII Global Baku Forum, stated that Antony Blinken's policy has, in fact, ruined U.S.-Azerbaijan relations.
"We spent decades building those relations. We were reliable and close partners with the U.S., and they were with us; when we needed them, we were with them. When it came to Iraq, yes, and Afghanistan, yes. As a non-NATO country, we joined the operations in Afghanistan in 2001, and we were the last to leave there," the President emphasized.
He further pointed out that after we left, they imposed sanctions on us, which created great disappointment in Azerbaijan.
